In June 2006, a ServeUganda team of 9 formed a partnership with Habitat for Humanity (HFH) to build two houses in Wobulenzi. HFH assesses the needs of those needing new homes, prioritising those with most need. The future owner family signs a "mortgage" agreement undertaking a formal commitment to contribute to the cost of the house. This commitment is in terms of financial repayment depending on their ability to pay and man-hours contributed to constructing their and someone else's home in the village or assisting in some other practical way depending on their skills and resources.
