Breaking News..S4 results! PDF Print E-mail
Written by Elspeth Dugdale

After months of waiting, the S4 results from last year have finally been published, so Charles went to KLA to get the print out. Although I think you need a degree in statistics to interpret them, the other WTA teachers, including Patrick and George seem to think they are pretty good. Out of the whole class, between 40 and 50 have gained enough points to be awarded a certificate and to be able to access S5 and S6 courses. This is about the number that we hoped and estimated. The overall result must be 1- 4 points for A level entry - and if you have 7 - 9 that is deemed a fail. Most of them scored 3s or 4s - with a few 2s. Very few failed completely. So good news and now they are looking for S5 places and hoping that Charles has a plan.

Driving up to Wobulenzi so regularly has its entertaining moments...... I was overtaken by a monster coach going at breakneck speed up to Lira. it was painted all over the back with colourful Bible verses - John 3.16 and Zephaniah 3.17 - which is the 'Mighty to Save' verse. As I had had to get out of his way (bigger vehicle wins every time), it made me think he needs those verses on the back to balance out his death-wish driving. But I would be lying if I didn't admit to feeling smug when the driver was stopped at the next police check-point and I sneaked past...... and was only a bit late to school due to cows on the road... more variety than the M27 perhaps..
