Here's one we made earlier....

With the opening of the new Gulu Bridge centre in sight, we are busy counting and collecting resources to fill the library and resource shelves.
One main focus, of course, will be to teach phonics and reading via providing excellent teacher training and having a well resourced library, and running creative, innovative lessons.
The Bridge will be promoting the use of resources made from local materials ('cut and stick' activities, Ugandan-style!) and the use of Ugandan readers and textbooks - because everything we do needs to be relevant, make sense and be 'do-able' for local teachers. Thanks to Read for Life Uganda, for these creative teacher training photos.
If you would like to be involved and donate towards resources or raw materials - paper, glue, tape, pens, scissors etc - you can send a fiver or a tenner or more via the Mydonate page here on the website - and we promise to spend your money on buying those items in Uganda. Add a note to your donation and let us know what you would like us to buy - this is a chance to vicariously relive your Blue Peter childhood!
We do specifically take out just UK phonics readers and related resources - secondhand or new - so please get in touch if you can help. Thanks so much!
